Over the last weekend, I was as busy as a bee. I had 3 orders to fulfill and a last minute call to go back to JB as my Father-In-Law was sick.

I had a 10″ Cake, 1 Rum ball Bouquet and 1 tubs of Pooh bear cookies to complete for collections. NOt to mention the attendance of the Orientation / Registration for my gals! But, Thanks God, I’ve managed to manage my time well and completed all the orders on time.

Here’s a 10″ cake requested with the long time carton character “The Twin Star”. I had the colours mixed up when I started to fill in the colours for the characters, hence I have to re-do my colours and start all over again. I was already too tired to continue after the dinner with my Sis-In-Law. But due to the due date, I had to complete it by that night, hence I just my tongue and work through it and here’s my final work:

I also had completed a tub of Winnie the Pooh Biscuits for my friend’s friend and hope well received by their family. It was a last minute order hence I do not have time to search for a better container for it, but to used the new container which was left over from my stash.

This year, the feel of Christmas come earlier than expected. Hence, I would like to start this Logcake workshop as well to bring in the atmosphere of the Christmas season.

Cost: $80 / pax (include 4 Xmas decoration for the logcake) – Full Hands-on

Time: 9.30am – 12.30pm

Location: Jurong West

4 Participants are needed in order to start the class.

Participants will each bring home a fully self decorated logcake.

Thanks for all your suggestions.  Gathered from all the feeback and suggestions, I had decided to organise a Basic cake Decoration Workshop where you will learn the basic piping skill to pipe scroll, star and plain line. O n top of that, you will also learn how to decorate smooth out the cream on a cake.

At the end of the lesson, you will get to decorate a 6″ cake with fresh cream using the skills you have learn in the class.

Cost: $80 / pax (include 6″ sponge cake)

Interested parties, kindly email me with your preferred weekend so that I can schedule a date.  Workshop will only be on with 4 participants. Confirmation of seats is upon receive of payment.

I’m thinking of organising more classes, but not sure which one will have more people interested.

Today had been quite a busy day. After the last miniature cake workshop, just 2 weeks after, we organised another Logcake workshop for a group of friends.

They are 2 very new novices in baking, but they had done a good job in their baking and decoration. It’s a total hands-on workshop for them to test and trial their skills in baking and decorating the logcake, preparing themselves for the upcoming festival.

After 3-4 hours of hard work, here’s their final products:

They left the place each with their self made logcake and sense of achievement.

Hope after this workshop, they are able to showcase what  had learnt by bringing their homemade logcake to any Christmas party this year end!

There were a group of ladies who came to my humble house for a miniature cake decoration workshop.

They were all very new to fondant work but they did a great job in the workshop. They had decorated 2 cakes to bring home and here’s their work:

It’s my eldest gal birthday. We were supposed to have a birthday party for her, but since we went for Japan trip last month, we decided to use that as her advance birthday trip, hence there won’t be any party.

However, birthday is a time where children enjoyed the most with nice cake and great fun. So, I had baked her a cake for her to bring to school to share her joy with her classmates.

We had a discussion on the cake on how to design it, she threw in her ideas and she wanted a 2-tiered cake. Her class is very small only, only 18 students and probably 20 pax including the teachers, hence to make a 2-tier cake seems too much for her, however, I still baked it for her, a 2 tiered cake.

I think I did the writing badly. It’s so ulgy. There’s a distorted patch, it was due to an “accident” when I placed the figurines on top.

These figurines were from Japan. Found it to be very nice when I was in Japan, hence asked her if she wants it for her birthday cake.

I’m so happy. Today I went to buy some ingredients for my ping pi mooncake and was surprised to find some icing images for small cake. Here’s the images I bought:

I considered these quite cheap as it’s only about RM9 for 2 images! If I’m not wrong, some places are selling $11 per A4 size of icing sheet if you ask them to print for you.
