There was another rum ball bouquet that I did. It was a favour asked by my poly friend for his gf, he wanted something unique and with white chocolate as ingredients. I’ve told him, he had set a tough “PSLE” exam question for me. Rum ball coated with White Chocolate package into a bouquet was what I can think off and it was my 1st attempt to such order. I had requested him to do the wrapping of the bouquet himself to show his sincerity for his gf and here’s the end result of the combination of my work and his:

NOt very appealing for the rum ball as the white chocolate coated was not thick enough not to see through the dark chocolate rum ball. But the taste of he Rum ball was very nice! That’s why, never judge a book by it’s cover. I will do a better job next round.

I’ve been asked by my gals’ Art teacher to do some bakes for sales during their Open House as a form of Donations as those money collected will be donated to the Charity. I had hence did some mini cupcakes and packed them in boxes of 3 for sales on the day and here they are:

This December, I will be celebrating my youngest’s birthday. She’s 3 this year and now she’s older and can talk, she had asked for Winnie the Pooh and Super Sleuth theme.  It had been 3 consecutive years that she had Pooh bear for her birthday, but well, since she asked for it, shall make another one for her.

I do not have anymore toppers for her to use as decoration for her cake, hence this time round, I had started to mould some Pooh themed figurines and had managed to mould Tigger, Piglet and Pooh. Will be working on other characters if I have the time this weekend:

Hmm… or was it “Thomas the train”?? Anyway, 1 of my customer requested these cupcakes for her son’s birthday. She initially wanted all this characters to be in 3D Figurines, but the time was short and since I’m not a fan of Thomas,  I wouldn’t know the body of his friends. All the pictures that are searchable in the net are usually in 2D plane form or those colour pages, hence I’ve managed to find his friends’ faces in 2D form and created these fondant images of cupcakes. I had personally like Ben’s piece as I had fun creating him. But, he is the most difficult character to make.

I do hope these characters look like who they are and hope the Birthday Boy had enjoyed his party with his friends as well as with Thomas the Train / Tank Engine.

Over the last weekend, I was as busy as a bee. I had 3 orders to fulfill and a last minute call to go back to JB as my Father-In-Law was sick.

I had a 10″ Cake, 1 Rum ball Bouquet and 1 tubs of Pooh bear cookies to complete for collections. NOt to mention the attendance of the Orientation / Registration for my gals! But, Thanks God, I’ve managed to manage my time well and completed all the orders on time.

Here’s a 10″ cake requested with the long time carton character “The Twin Star”. I had the colours mixed up when I started to fill in the colours for the characters, hence I have to re-do my colours and start all over again. I was already too tired to continue after the dinner with my Sis-In-Law. But due to the due date, I had to complete it by that night, hence I just my tongue and work through it and here’s my final work:

I also had completed a tub of Winnie the Pooh Biscuits for my friend’s friend and hope well received by their family. It was a last minute order hence I do not have time to search for a better container for it, but to used the new container which was left over from my stash.

This year, the feel of Christmas come earlier than expected. Hence, I would like to start this Logcake workshop as well to bring in the atmosphere of the Christmas season.

4 Participants are needed in order to start the class.

Participants will each bring home a fully self decorated logcake.

Thanks for all your suggestions.  Gathered from all the feeback and suggestions, I had decided to organise a Basic cake Decoration Workshop where you will learn the basic piping skill to pipe scroll, star and plain line. O n top of that, you will also learn how to decorate smooth out the cream on a cake.

At the end of the lesson, you will get to decorate a 6″ cake with fresh cream using the skills you have learn in the class.

Cost: $80 / pax (include 6″ sponge cake)
